PRIVACY INFORMATION

How visitor information is used

This personal portfolio is operated by George Williams. You can contact me at gwilliamswork@yahoo.com about the information described here.

Optional welcome survey

The welcome survey asks for your industry and job role. You can skip it and still view the portfolio. I use responses to understand the professional audiences reached by my work. Skips are counted. A job role is free text, so please avoid entering your name, employer or other personal details.

Usage analytics

The site records page visits, which sections enter view, document-link opens and contact-link clicks. It uses a random identifier stored in your browser tab's session storage to group activity from that tab. Survey answers, if given, can be linked to that tab's activity. The site remembers that you answered or skipped in your browser's local storage so it does not ask again on that device. It does not add an analytics cookie, collect your IP address in its analytics database or ask for your name or email.

Access and retention

Only I can access the analytics dashboard and export survey responses. The site is hosted through ChatGPT Sites, which processes data to operate the service. I keep these records while they are useful for understanding this portfolio's audience and will remove them when they are no longer needed. If you have a question or request about your response, email me at the address above; include the approximate date and your submitted role if you wish me to locate it. I cannot reliably find a skipped response without identifying details.
